about andy

I have been a worship leader, songwriter and pastor in the Vineyard movement for over three decades. I travel widely throughout the North America and around the globe to lead worship and teach on worship and various themes of the life of worship.

I have written many worship songs including In the Secret and The River is Here. I've also written two books on worship: “To Know You More – Cultivating the Heart of A Worship Leader”, (InterVarsity Press, 2002) and “The Worship Journey: A Quest of Heart, Mind and Strength” (2011). I am very grateful to God for my wife, Linda and my children: Zachary, David, Michael, Jessica, Benjamin, Isaac, Ian and Elizabeth.

Just a few months ago I joined a team that is planting a new church in Guildford, Surrey, B.C.  It is called Surrey Vineyard (www.surreyvineyard.com).

A few stories of God’s Kingdom blessings coming on our trip to Argentina in March, 2012

Thursday, March 1
A man came to the altar who was planning to commit suicide that night after the meeting. He was feeling that life was no longer worth living. His girlfriend had committed suicide a couple of months earlier and his best friend was just killed a few days earlier in a train crash in Buenos Aires. He said he felt it would be better for him to be “home with them.” So he walked into the church to “straighten things out with God before killing himself.” That night he gave his life to the Lord. He gave his gun (which he had with him) to one of the pastors and decided that life really was worth living. He came the next day to the meeting with a huge smile on his face.

Friday, March 2
One woman who had just been beaten by her husband came forward for prayer. While she was still praying, the husband came in after her and she took the step to apologize to him for provoking him the night before. He then fell to his knees, repenting and asking her to forgive him for what he done and "the monster" he had become.
